Work at Heights Course
The Work at heights course is designed to give you the essential skills and knowledge necessary to work safely in heights. There are several prerequisites for this course. You must be able to communicate in English and understand the necessary documentation. You will need an interpreter for the training if you don’t speak English. The course is available Monday to Friday. It is never cancelled.

The course consists of two parts – the theory portion and the practical section. Taking the theory part first is recommended for new students, and the practical portion is suitable for experienced workers who need a refresher. Both courses are CPO-approved and award a three-year certification.
Successful completion of a CPO-approved working at heights course is required for any worker to keep their certification valid for three years. In addition, the worker must complete two modules of an approved program to receive the refresher training. The refresher training should be completed by an approved training provider. Employers must maintain records of the refresher training course and provide them to Ministry of Labour inspectors.
